Lata Mary Fields, a native of India, moved to the United States in 2000, but discovered her affinity for art when she moved to LaGrange, Ga. Beginning with charcoal and pastels, she turned to YouTube to gain insight from other artists. Fields paints or draws every day when she isn’t working or homeschooling her daughter. She also works with local artists and is a member of both the Visual Artists Alliance of LaGrange and West Point Fine Arts.
