Second Thursdays | 10-11:30 AM | September through May
K-5th grade homeschool students learn together in the gallery and work together on a take-home project in the AMA Classroom.
Homeschooled students benefit immensely from visiting the AMA, which provides a rich visual environment to address a wide range of topics such as cultural awareness and understanding, critical thinking skills, and practical real-life application of literature, history, mathematics, language arts, and science.
In the classroom, students practice new artistic techniques, grow social skills, improve fine motor skills, and foster creativity. This in-gallery and hands-on exposure complements traditional homeschooling methods, enhancing their understanding of various subjects.
Dates for the 2023-24 school year are Sept 14, Oct 12, Nov 9, Dec 14, Jan 11, Feb 8, March 14, April 11, and May 9.
COST: $15, or $10 for AMA donors and legacy members.
