Albany Museum of Art Public Meeting on Brownfield Cleanup Grant Program
The Albany Museum of Art has received an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield Cleanup Grant for $350,000 to assist with the environmental cleanup of the property located at 128 and 146 W. Broad Avenue in downtown Albany, Georgia. Cleanup is needed to address a variety of environmental impacts, including impacted soil, asbestos in buildings, and petroleum impacted groundwater in order to prepare the site for redevelopment. Prior to cleanup activities, a public meeting will be held to allow the community to learn about the program and to provide input on the cleanup actions needed. This meeting will be held online from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. You may attend and ask questions via the following zoom link: https://cardno.zoom.us/j/92772035428.
