KIDS TAKE THE STAGE AT THE MUSEUM
|
Young actors will get an opportunity to shine this winter at the Albany Museum of Art!
Vicki Knuckles, a longtime children's theater director and educator, will be at the helm of this six-week exploration of the art of acting at the AMA. Actors will be divided into two groups of up to 15 members each: Rising Stars for kids K5-2nd grade, and Shining Stars for kids in grades 3-5. All classes are on Tuesdays: Jan 10, 17, 24 and 31, and Feb 7 and 14. Rising Stars are on stage each of those dates from 3:30-4:20 PM. Shining Stars make their entrance each class day from 4:30-5:20 PM. Young actors will learn to develop their acting tools through body, voice, mind, and imagination. They will learn the basic concepts, creative games, and artistry. The students will enjoy acting challenges while learning the importance of collaboration and the use of their imagination. All kids will need to bring are their enthusiasm and a 1-inch, 3-ring binder! Looking for a great Christmas gift?
