Albany Museum of Art
Picture
The Friends of the AMA, an organization of supporters of the Albany Museum of Art and its missions, is recognizing individuals who have been Treasures of the AMA over the years with a series of tribute videos looking back over their lives. Each year, the Friends of the AMA selects a person or persons to honor with a tribute video in recognition and appreciation for their work, support, and positive influence on the museum.

Sylvia Berry
2021

The first recipient of the AMA Treasures honor is Sylvia Berry. The wife of the late Arthur Berry, an artist and educator, Mrs. Berry was a lifetime trustee of the Albany Museum of Art who loved art and music, and was a music educator for three decades.

Mrs. Berry, who passed in July 2021, was recognized at the premiere of her video on April 8, 2021 at the AMA.

Steve & Bronwyn Hinton
2022

The Friends of the AMA presents the Albany Museum of Art Treasures series. Steve and Bronwyn Hinton are the second recipients of the AMA Treasures honor, with their video premiering on March 19, 2022 at the museum.

The Hintons have been deeply involved with the AMA since the 1980s, serving on committees and other capacities, and at numerous fundraisers. Steve, an artist, was a lifetime trustee of the museum. He passed away in February 2021.
