2023 Opens with Art-Inspired Experiences at the AMA for All Ages

Shortly after fireworks mark the beginning of the new year, activity will explode at the Albany Museum of Art with new art exhibitions, a community concert, multiple painting and art classes, a college student session of Courageous Conversations About Race, a book club meeting, and the museum’s first-ever theatrical classes.

Courageous Conversations About Race: College Edition Is Jan 13 at the AMA

Metro Albany students traveled with the Albany Museum of Art to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to participate in a panel discussion on Nov 29 at the Georgia Grantmakers Alliance conference. During the panel, these students discussed the impact of the AMA’s Courageous Conversations about Race program.

Free Event on Dec 10 Is Final Opportunity to See Fighters for Freedom Exhibition at the AMA

The City of Albany Recreation & Parks Department is joining again with the Albany Museum of Art to bring Family Day to Southwest Georgia. The event is free and open to the public.
 
Come out to the museum, 311 Meadowlark Drive in Albany, 10 am-1 pm on Saturday, Dec 10 for an artfully fun time, including kid-friendly take-home art projects, such as suncatchers and super-hero masks. They also can participate in gallery scavenger hunts in the galleries.
