 Enjoy a Creative Winter Evening with Friends at the Albany Museum of Art Grab your spouse, a date, or a friend, or paint solo at the next Corks & Canvases Painting Party at the AMA. You can enjoy a glass of wine and snacks while you get step-by-step instructions on how to recreate your own interpretation of a famous work of art. At the Thursday, Jan 19, 2023 paint party, the participants will paint their interpretations of Woman at the Garden, an 1873 painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

(Photo: Albany Museum of Art) Courageous Conversations About Race: College Edition Is Jan 13 at the AMAMetro Albany students traveled with the Albany Museum of Art to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to participate in a panel discussion on Nov 29 at the Georgia Grantmakers Alliance conference. During the panel, these students discussed the impact of the AMA’s Courageous Conversations about Race program.

Free Event on Dec 10 Is Final Opportunity to See Fighters for Freedom Exhibition at the AMA The City of Albany Recreation & Parks Department is joining again with the Albany Museum of Art to bring Family Day to Southwest Georgia. The event is free and open to the public.
Come out to the museum, 311 Meadowlark Drive in Albany, 10 am-1 pm on Saturday, Dec 10 for an artfully fun time, including kid-friendly take-home art projects, such as suncatchers and super-hero masks. They also can participate in gallery scavenger hunts in the galleries. |
