• Sept 3 - Figure Forward: Join us in the Haley Gallery to talk about how we use our bodies to make art and what inspires us to make art. We will talk about what we see, read a story together and conclude with a special art project.
• Oct 1 - Michael Oliveri: Can bugs be made into art? Absolutely! We will gather in the West Gallery to see some unique photography and talk about all the different ways we can make an insect into art. We will read a family classic, Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, and use Oliveri’s art as inspiration in the classroom!
• Nov 5 - Gloria Garfinkel: Toddlers will explore shapes and patterns in the Haley Gallery before gathering together to read Snippets: A Story About Paper Shapes by Diane Alber. We will take what we have learned into the classroom for a hands-on lesson.
• Decr 3 - Nancy Newberry: Join us for an exploration of color. These dynamic photographs in the East Galley will surround AMA’s smallest guests with bursts of color and energy. We will bring their inspiration into the classroom for our own color experimentation.
