Be creative. Be yourself. Be funky.
The second AMA Contemporaries event of the season will be at the Albany Museum of Art -- a righteous retrolicious evening: What the Funk! It's the place to be Nov 16, 2018 from 7:30-9:30 pm!
What the Funk! will feature artful entertainment by a funk music band, three AMA exhibitions, food, a cash bar and people you know--and want to hang out with--in their funkiest attire! (You must be at least 21 years old to attend.)
The Contemporaries prove that art is not some old, dusty thing with no relevance to today’s young professionals. Just ask anyone who attended Bar Fight in July. And be sure to visit our Hodges Sales Gallery where you can find work created by young artists in the area.
The Albany Museum of Art’s new Contemporaries, area professionals ages 21-45, are young art enthusiasts who represent the next generation of leadership for the Museum. They inspire their friends and colleagues to engage with the arts and champion the AMA as a space for courageous conversations to shape a more aware and connected world. This is about connecting a young audience with each other – and having fun.
