An Evening of Jazz and Wine with the Contemporaries!
April 25, 2019 - 7-9 pm
What has become one of the leading events for young professionals in Albany and Southwest Georgia, the AMA Contemporaries will host An Evening of Wine and Jazz 7-9 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
Guests can sample wines from different distributors, listen to New Orleans style jazz performed by Southern Art Music Ensemble, watch as artists capture the evening in sketches, and enjoy delicious snacks from local artisans.
There will be a blind wine tasting and opportunities to learn about the different flavor profiles. Contemporaries members get in free. If you’re not a Contemporary yet, it’s easy to join! You must be at least 21 years old to attend.
The Contemporaries prove that art is not some old, dusty thing with no relevance to today’s young professionals. Just ask anyone who attended Bar Fight in July or What the Funk in January.
The Albany Museum of Art’s new Contemporaries, area professionals ages 21-45, are young art enthusiasts who represent the next generation of leadership for the Museum. They inspire their friends and colleagues to engage with the arts and champion the AMA as a space for courageous conversations to shape a more aware and connected world. This is about connecting a young audience with each other – and having fun.
