The Art of Sound
Saturday, Nov 21, 2019 | 9:20 am

The Albany Museum of Art is partnering with 229 Yoga and Inherent Sound for The Art of Sound at 9:20 am on Saturday, Nov  21, 2020 in the AMA’s Haley Gallery.

Participants can expect to unplug, relax and revive their spirit in this Sound Experience, where they will be immersed in a virtual "bath" of healing sounds from quartz crystal bowls, gong and drums.

The sound facilitator will be Amanda M. Borghi, a certified sound facilitator and certified yoga trainer. Entry to the Sound Experience will begin at 9 am and the session will begin promptly at 9:30 am. (No late entry will be permitted.)

The tones build and evolve, producing a sea of sound that is timeless and alive. The sounds are designed to interact with the body, cleansing and rejuvenating physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Blocks and tensions are washed away, leaving you centered, refreshed, energized, and fully present and connected with the surrounding world.

No movement is required of participants.  Guests will be invited to lie comfortably on yoga mats in the gallery while they enjoy the sounds during this 90-minute experience.

COST: $30 for AMA members and $35 for future members.

REGISTER: You can sign up for Art of Sound HERE.
